Phases Of web3

This collection was conceived while the NFT boom was at its peak and I had recently transitioned to creating digital art.

With this first collection, I decided to make a statement about the toxic grind-till-you-die culture of web3, prevalent throughout 20' - 22'

All together the pieces tell the story of the journey most newcomers to the digital space went through, in the madness that was the NFT space back then.

WAGMI

The journey starts with the promise of Utopia. A bright future for all who cross over to the promised land, where there are only winners and no one ever loses. Eyes wide-open, travelers cannot contain their excitement. Their hopes soaring high in the heavenly abode of their unrealized dreams.

NGMI

Bloody footprints lead the way, and bloody footprints follow every step.
The seekers leave their skin, nails and teeth smeared on the jagged, broken surface of the once-smooth and clean path leading out towards the Promised Land. Every step has been a leap of faith, and each has been betrayed. The gleaming eyes are now hollow. Faith has been replaced by fear; hope by dismay. The slow realization that we are in fact, not gonna make it. Not all of us at least.
The truth sinks in, but it's too late to quit. It is a lost cause, but there is no direction left to move in but forward.

Reset

The Journey ends where it began.
The seeker understands now what the true meaning and purpose of it all was.
Leaving its broken carcass behind, the broken promises, the selfish dreams.
The mirage that seduced the seeker into starting this journey of pain was a necessary one.
The wisdom acquired, the realization so clear.
The promised land does not really exist. But the journey must be made, and others need to join in. For the lesson must be learned, and the spell must be broken. For those who are deceived are many, and many more will follow.
Those who have seen the truth must now preach it for the sake of those who will come.
Perhaps one day, when the mindset is right and when the intention is pure and true. Perhaps on that day, the illusion will come true.
The seeker, now a prophet, rises and starts to walk.
The Journey, has once again begun.
